MUCH MORE - "Skills for social and working life for the middle-aged men with past addiction problems"
is a cross-border project, which aims is to prepare men with challenging past to reunite with society through a combination of do-it-yourself and nature based activities with social and working life counseling in peer-groups.
This way MUCH MORE prevents social exclusion of men from the target group.
MUCH MORE is an EU Interreg Central Baltic Region co-financed project.

LESSONS LEARNED

What was achieved during the project? Project partners had different approaches to activate and intergrate the target group with society. Valuable lessons were learnt that can help other professionals working with same target group to organize peer-groups or activities.
With this project the focus was on listening the needs and wishes of the clients. What opportunities and threats of planning session offers? Here are experiences from Blue Ribbon Association, Turku.
Perhaps you would like to strengthen the everyday skills of your target group? Have a look at the pros and cons of hosting a cooking lesson by Riga City Council.
If your group is fit enough a hiking trip or just a walk in the nature provides opportunities to discuss difficult issues in soothing environment. Turku Blue Ribbon Association took their clients to many different places; here are their analysis on activities.

It's not necessary to go far with your group, sometimes the best conversations and insights come when there's no plan or mission to be accomplished. Stickan crisis centre for men had relaxed meeting - take a note from their analysis.
